The Estonian Reform Party is a liberal party founded in 1994 by Siim Kallas. It belongs to the ALDE Party and, in the European Parliament, to the Renew Europe group. It has led the government for most of the time since 2005 and won the 2023 election with 31.2% of the vote and 37 of the 101 seats. Since 2024 it has been led by Kristen Michal, prime minister since July of that year.
It governs with Eesti 200; since August 2026 the coalition has 50 seats, one short of a majority. It won 10% in the 2025 local elections, and polls in September and October 2026 put it at 10–15%. It supports a flat income tax (22%, with €700 a month tax-free since 2026), defence spending of at least 5% of GDP, Estonian-only schooling, European integration and the digital state.
